Hey there, fellow travel enthusiasts!

Picture this: a stress-free getaway where every detail is meticulously taken care of, allowing you to focus solely on creating memories that will last a lifetime.

I think that is what most of us want when we travel, so when our clients get home from their trip and share with us that this is exactly what they experienced, it makes us incredibly happy.

In this most recent Milk + Honey Travelers spotlight, I’m sharing the real-life experiences and feedback from our clients recent trip to Europe to give you a sneak peak at what it is truly like to work with us.

Mary and Bret recently embarked on a 10-day anniversary trip to explore the captivating destinations of Italy and Greece. From the moment they made the decision to hand over the planning reins to us, their adventure transformed into an unforgettable experience, filled with breathtaking moments and awe-inspiring discoveries.

As they embarked on their trip, Mary and Bret quickly realized one of the immediate advantages of using a boutique travel agency: the alleviation of travel-related stress. Mary shares, "I had no idea how much stress would be removed from the trip by not having to worry about things like getting ourselves to the airport."

At Milk + Honey, we realize that it’s both the big things and little things that make a difference. We care about the hotel we choose for you, and also how you are going to get there. Our priority is to understand our clients and utilize our expertise, knowledge, and connections to save you hours of time and energy allowing you to focus on the things that matter most to you.

Another seemingly small, but important, aspect that stood out to the couple was the luxury and convenience of the breakfasts provided during their trip.

"THE BREAKFASTS – this is one of those things that if I was planning it myself and I was given the choice to pay for breakfast, I would have been tempted to save the money and grab a croissant and coffee in town. But the luxury of that insane breakfast with an even more insane view each morning made me immediately happy that the decision wasn't mine."

During our consultation, the couple shared with me that they loved walking and going on hikes, and they were really into history.  They also mentioned wanting beautiful views and doing a few things that were less touristy.

Of all the experiences we included, Mary highlights her favorite tour of the trip—a guided hike to Volastra in Cinque Terre. She describes the beauty and challenge of the hike up the hill, as well as the delightful conversation they had along the way. Once in Volastra, they had the opportunity to witness the winemaking process, followed by a serene moment in the vineyard at the cliff's edge, savoring a delicious bottle of wine (at 11 am!) and relishing the most amazing focaccia. Mary reflects, "We left with full hearts and thoroughly enjoyed our time with our guide. The whole experience was a real treasure."

And while I know we all want the “non-touristy” things  when we travel, sometimes the touristy things are a ton of fun as well.  During their time in Santorini we had them scheduled for a sunset catamaran cruise – something we usually suggest for anyone visiting Santorini.

“The cruise was fantastic.  The water was cold but we had the best group of people and crew ever.  We did all the swimming and snorkeling and the crew prepared a wonderful meal for us on board.  We took sunset pictures, added everyone as facebook friends and reveled in a really perfect evening.  The crew played 90's rap the entire way back and it just turned into a fun and special party.”

If that doesn’t sound like a fun time on vacation, I don’t know what does!

One of the unexpected joys Mary discovered through the planning process with a luxury travel advisor  was the freedom it provided. As an accountant, she anticipated analyzing dollars spent and constantly evaluating the value of each component. However, the decision to relinquish control over the details turned out to be liberating.

"I have NO IDEA how much each hotel was per night, what each excursion cost, etc., and it was so FREEING,” she explains. I got to just enjoy every second knowing that the trip was already paid for and didn't need my control. By the end of our time in Italy, any lingering questions about 'are we getting our money's worth' were gone—I feel like we got so much MORE than I had imagined, both in the actual trip and the peace of mind that not having to be responsible for the details afforded us."

As a travel advisor, I really appreciate hearing this because it showcases a level of trust in our overall understanding of what will make your trip really special, but also the idea that we respect your investment, and do our best to make sure that we have made sure that the entire experience is not only memorable, but also a good value.

Mary and Bret's incredible adventure in Italy and Greece is the perfect example of how entrusting your travel plans to passionate experts can completely transform your entire trip. From stress-free logistics to luxurious touches and unforgettable tours, every aspect of their trip was carefully curated to ensure a seamless and enchanting experience.

We’re so glad that they not only discovered hidden treasures and cherished memories but also found a newfound sense of freedom and peace of mind.

Are you ready to embark on your own unforgettable adventure? We hope you let Milk + Honey be your trusted companion in crafting the trip of a lifetime. Leave your worries behind and let us take care of every detail, while you just focus on creating memories that last a lifetime.
