Where to Stay in San Miguel de Allende

My time in San Miguel de Allende was spent relaxing and enjoying all that the beautiful city had to offer. Another thing I wanted to make sure I accomplished while I was there was scoping out some wonderful properties, and seeing firsthand the types of accommodations I think clients would like.

I love to feel a sense of place when I stay somewhere, and the properties I saw certainly had that in spades. They are amazing and beautiful and possess a charm that fits so well with the essence of the city. Here is and overview of a couple of my favorites, and I am certain you will fall just as much in love with them as I did.

Casa Sierra Nevada

Everything about this boutique hotel blew my socks off.  It is the epitome of old-world elegance, and provides you with a sense of grace and class as soon as you walk through the doors. The hotel itself is actually split into a series of old colonial buildings, with none holding more than 7 rooms.

Onsite amenities include an exquisite restaurant, elegant bar, enticing swimming pool, relaxing spa, meeting space for up to 80 people, and even it’s own cooking school. I participated in one of the cooking classes, and it was truly a top-notch experience.

Airy studios and suites are individually appointed and feature distinctive themes, each with their individual charm. I absolutely fell in love with the Presidential Suite, that boasts the most gorgeous outdoor living area, and a 900 sq. foot rooftop terrace.

I cannot wait to have guests experience this property for themselves!

Casa Schuck

Casa Schuck is a beautiful, boutique style bed and breakfast, located in the heart of historic San Miguel de Allende.  There are gorgeous and serene common areas that make you feel like you are totally secluded from the hustle and bustle of the town. It contains only 10 rooms, all uniquely and tastefully decorated. If you are looking for a more intimate and romantic experience, yet still with the ability to be down the street from all the sights, this would be highly recommended.
